How To: Remote Wipe Your ActiveSync Device with Outlook Web App 2010

 

If your mobile device is lost or stolen, Outlook Web App provides the ability to remotely wipe all personal data from the phone.  Once activated, the phone will receive a signal from the email server the next time it attempts to sync, causing it to clear all user data.  Please note that no data will be recoverable once the phone has undergone a remote wipe, so use the feature with caution.  To initiate a remote wipe, follow the steps below:



1. Log into Outlook Web App at http://mail.secureowaonline.com

  

     

 

 

2. Select Options in the top right corner.

 

     

 

 

3. Click See All Options.

 

     

 

 

4. Select Phone from the left-hand menu.


     

 

 

5. Select your phone from the list and click Wipe Device.
